If you think women gossip a lot... you're so wrong.

I work in a shop with 16 other guys and one girl (not including me). I used to work in the food service industry as a server. So I worked with lots of women. The gossip and backstabbing is ten fold in a weld shop.

I was pretty cranky this morning. The other girl I work with, Tracy, has been working there for just over 5 months and she's doing jobs that I didn't even get an opportunity to try until I had been there for just about a year. I'm pretty sure my foreman favors her, and I mean, she's pretty good, but it makes me feel like shit becauseI had to work harder and longer to get where she is. The guys were talking about that this morning. Let me tell you, when I don't hear about it, I don't care about it. But as soon as someone starts talking about it, I'm pissed. So yeah, I was a little upset. But whatever.

What really got to me was when my foreman asked me to do a lower ranking duty and assigned her something better. I talked my way out of it lol but I was insulted that he wouldn't give it to her before me. It sounds childish, but wouldn't you be mad after working your ass off for a year and a half and going through your first year of training and getting the shorter straw?
